My D was rejected from Clark, and accepted at several other decent places, but she still really feels that Clark is the right place for her. Her GPA is 2.7, that was the killer. She's thinking about doing a year of community college to boost her GPA.

How hard is it to transfer in to Clark? Or even to apply as a freshman after a year of CC? she had some issues in high school that lowered her grades in 10th grade, but she's steadily improved. I think that getting into Clark is a worthwhile goal, but how realistic is it?

She really connected with the school, the program, etc.

Your D should move on, if she has other options she should evaluate those.
What if she does community college for a year, re-applies to Clark and then is rejected again?

I don’t think its very difficult to transfer in. I’ve met a bunch of people who transferred to clark. You should be aware that it becomes more difficult to do fifth year though, as the requirements are different.

She does have options. We talked to someone in admissions at clark and she suggested community college for a semester. But it is a risk, of course she may not get in. My D will go with another school for now and we will evaluate applying to Clark at a later date. It is a shame, she really liked Clark.
