Reasons to go to Berkshire School

Hey guys,
I just graduated a few years ago from Berkshire School and I thought that it would be fun to make a list of reasons to go to Berkshire School! I know that Berkshire changed my life for the better and I can’t thank the school enough. Any Berkshire students or alums feel free to add on!

  1. We have to Class A #1 ranked Varsity Boys Prep school soccer team in the US…for 3 years in a row!
  2. The school is in the base of the mountain! The campus is literally 420 acres of pure nature!
  3. They harvest their own maple syrup which means fresh syrup in the dining hall!
  4. Winter Carnival! All the dorms compete and it is so fun…
  5. PRO VITA!!! Berkshire is the only school that does something like this. It’s my favorite week of the year… Berkshire has a whole week before spring break with no classes and instead you take 1 or 2 courses in something fun. They have classes that teach things like how to tye die, rock climbing, ceramics, surfboard building, as well as international trip that change every year!
  6. Pink Out game for breast cancer when Taft comes to play us in hockey.
  7. Dorm snack on Saturdays… So yummy!
  8. Being able to go and take a hike whenever you want to…
  9. Having amazing clubs like painball clubs, barbecue club, chick flick club, etc.
  10. MOUNTAIN DAY-- this is a surprise day (you get two a year) when it is announced at the beginning of the day and you get classes off for he day to do whatever you want…
  11. Amazing friends and memories that last a lifetime:)

I just thought of a few more-

  1. advisors. My advisor was a god send. I bonded with her immediately. She was always there to talk and brought home baked cookies of brownies to my dorm room when I was sad or PMS-ing. I still keep in contact with her today

  2. the Tater tots and chicken fingers at Shawns. So good!!!
