Rec letter B not received/processed.

I called the admissions office and they just said they'll consider my application without the second rec letter. I faxed it to them, yet it's still showing up as not received/processed. I mean, they said they'd call if they went to look for it and it wasn't there, but it's just nervewracking, especially considering that decisions are being made in a matter of days.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

By the way, I asked if they could physically check and the answer was no.

They have all of my recommendation letters, but they were missing my SAT subject scores. I called them about it three weeks ago and they said to what because scores take a while to process. I called back Monday and they said to fax in the scores, which I did right away, but it is still not marked as received. I'm happy that I am not the only one having problems!

i sent in my SAT score twice, and it showed up on the site that it wasnt received, so I called in and they told me to fax them the unofficial script. ThenI faxed it to them and called back to check that they got them. They went and physically checked for me and said that I was good to go. Even if my official score doesn't get their before their decision (i sent it AGAIN) they said they will trust the copy i sent. This was only this monday, so im not sure why they wouldnt check for you =S o btw even after they told me they received it, it still says that my tests arnt there, but then again im guessing because my scores are unofficial. Maybe that's the case for you as well.

D had a problem with one her schools saying they had not received transcript. Her hs said it had been sent. She called back to the university and suggested that perhaps the transcript had been misplaced into another slot...our last name initial gets mixed up often. They were nice enough to check around in other files and found it misplaced. Could be a possibilty in your case?

I had the same issue and when I called, they said that they had both of my recs even though the site said it wasn't there/processed.

They said the cause of this was because my school uses a different teacher rec form from Columbia's. Maybe it was that for you?

fishgills -> I had the same issue. my 5A isn't processed yet but the admissions officer assures me it is. Probably due to the diff rec form.

My teacher's report A wasn't processed, but they told me to fax it in again. They changed the status within like 2 days for me.

I'm having the same problem, but with both my recs. One teacher sent it online and it took weeks to show up in their system. The other still has not been "recieved", but I think it's fine because I sent that one out myself by mail, and the rep told me herself that it takes forever for it to show up in the system because of the volume of materials they recieve...whateva

My online rec showed up literally a few hours after it was sent. Maybe that was because it was sent really early -- beginning of October? Weird...

I submitted part II of my app on October 3rd so I'm not sure. I mean now they have it, I made sure of that, but it just took forever.

I was in the same situation as the original poster. First, I called the admissions office and the rep told me that it's probably stuck in a pile yet to be sorted (even though my teachers sent out the recs in early October and I called in mid November). Then, I emailed them, and I received confirmation that they got both, but the tracker said otherwise for a long time.

Yes, that's what just happened to me. I emailed them about a week ago and just got a response last night saying that they do in fact have it, but it just has not been processed yet. It's a relief that they have it.
