<p>I asked my history teacher for LORs... he said yes, and also said that if there was anything that wasn't already represented in my applications (besides essays/grades/tests/ecs) that I'd like him to put in/emphasize, to let him know.</p>

<p>What kinds of things are colleges looking for that would enhance my app? Should I have him emphasize my personal qualities? Or why I'd make a good student at school X? Any ideas/thoughts are appreciated.</p>

<p>Personal qualities ranging from intelligence to writing ability to leadership to work ethic -- that indicate you'd be a great addition to the college. The teacher needs to write about things that s/he has directly seen, not things on your resume such as your work in outside ECs.</p>
