rec letters not received

So, after checking the status of my application for several of teh schools to which I applied, I realized that 7 of my schools are missing a teacher rec, all from the same teacher. I talked to my teacher, and apparently, he had sent out everything one week before the Jan 1 deadlines. Anyways, he redid the recs and gave them to my counselor to be sent with the midyear reports. Is this a viable way to resend recs? And would this adversely affect me in anyway?
btw, 6 of my other colleges did receive my teacher's recs; the other 7 didn't.

It might be that your schools just haven't processed them yet, since they were only sent out a week before the deadline. Top schools have so many applications that, while they might receive application materials, they might not be processed for up to 2 months afterward.

On Monday, can you see if the GC will fax the same letter, in addition to having enclosed it in a Midyear Report.
One school I spoke to indicated that any mailed item, at this point, could take a long time to get filed, so they encouraged an immediate Fax of a mislaid LOR.
Who knows what is each college's system for unfiling the Midyear reports; maybe it's later than when they need to see the Letter of Rec.
Like you, I'm uneasy with how your situation is being handled.

ok thanks.
so if they don't receive my letter of rec. by the time they need to, would they just not consider me at all?, or would they give me time to resend it?

Schools will usually inform you if part of your application is missing and will give you time to resubmit it.
