Recalculated GPA

What is a good GPA range for admission when it's recalculated by the University?

Does anyone know the formula for it? Or can anyone help me recalculate it if I include my senior year (of high school) grades?

What are some people that got in GPA's (once recalculated)?

Take your core academic classes…
English
Science
Social Studies
Math
Foreign Language

A-4 B-3 C-2
add 0.5 if class was honors
add 1.0 if class was DE, AP or IB

Example

Alg 2 Honors…got a B so worth 3.5(3 for B and 0.5 for Honors)
AP Biology got an A…so worth 5.0(4.0 for A and 1.0 for AP)
Spanish 2 got B…so worth 3.0 because no Honors

So I would add up 3.5+5.0+3.0 and divide by 3 (because there are 3 classes)
11.5 /3 =3.83…that would be the UF GPA

So do that for all the classes you have taken even the ones from middle school that you received High School credit

2013 incoming freshman average acceptance
GPA 4.3
SAT 1967
ACT 30

Total Applicants 28,834

Form you can use

[What Is Your ?Estimated? Recalculated GPA](http://www.docstoc.com/docs/68078111/What-Is-Your-“Estimated”-Recalculated-GPA)

Does the school use the numerical or letter grade off your transcript. For example at my school an “A” is a 93 and up but I know other schools where it’s a 90 and up. Does that come into play at all?

UF uses the grading scale that is at your school so if a 92 is a B then that is what UF is going to calculate.
