Did I Recalculate my GPA correctly?

9th grade

1.) English 1 Honors - C +2.5
2.) Pre IB Inquiry SKills - A +4.5
3.) Spanish 1 - B +3
4.) Algebra 1 - B +3
5.) Biology 1 Honors - C +2.5
6.) Algebra 2 - C +2
7.) AP World History - A +5

Total Points 9th grade: 22.5

10th grade

8.) AP US Government - C (half credit class) +3
9.) AP Comparative Government - C (half credit class) +3
10.) AP Human Geography - B +4
11.) Chemistry 1 Honors - C +2.5
12.) English 2 Honors - B +3.5
13.) Geometry 1 Honors - C +2.5
14.) Spanish 2 - B +3

Total Points 10th grade: 21.5

11th grade

15.) AP Psychology - A +5
16.) AP Art History - A +5
17.) DE Sociology - A +5
18.) AP Biology - B +4
19.) AP English Language - B +4
20.) AP US History - B +4
21.) Pre Calculus Honors - B +3.5

Total Points 11th grade: 30.5

TOTAL Points = 74.5
TOTAL Classes = 21 (however, the first 2 classes I took in 10th grade were half credit AP Classes how do I recalculate this!?)

With my math, my FSU recalculated GPA would be, 3.5476 (assuming FSU rounds) 3.55

I plan on taking 2 Dual Enrollment classes at my local community college over the summer bringing my GPA to about a 3.67

Are my chances at FSU over?

9 AP Classes by Junior Year (12 by Senior year)
6 Honors Classes
3 Dual Enrollment (Assuming I take 2 over the summer)
1 Pre IB Class

As mentioned [in your other thread](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/florida-state-university/1485799-half-credit-classes-highschool.html), FSU looks at grades on a semester basis, not an overall final grade for the year.

So you would count both semester grades, not just one grade per class.

I hate to tell you though, that’s a lot of Cs on your transcripts. While not completely detrimental, that isn’t exactly stellar…

Apparently you didn’t read my response about the half credit classes.

Did you get the SAME GRADE for both semesters of EACH class? That’s the only way to use your computations, since you are leaving out half of your grades, IF you subtact one of those half credit 3s. Otherwise, you will have to add the OTHER semester grade from EACH subject. And I’m pretty sure that Dual Enrollment Sociology is only a half credit class (I think all Florida schools use the same scale), so it would only count as a (half credit) one semester class, which would also make your GPA calculation wrong.

Try recalculating by counting EACH semester grade, but only count Sociology for one semester grade, and then divide by 40, since you only had 6 classes each semester in 10th grade, and that DE class only counts as one half credit.
