I forgot to send my scores to Stanford! I took the test last June, but I haven't placed Stanford as my score recipient. Will do right now, but I'm sure it won't get there by Jan 1 deadline. Will Stanford still accept, or do they mean they NEED the scores by Jan 1?

Please answer ASAp!
Thanks!

lol, no, I’m just kidding. I’m pretty sure that they can get SAT scores after the deadline since it takes a while for them to process materials. (And I’m also quite certain that they have a date when they notify applicants of unreceived materials like recommendations, scores, etc. for the regular decision round). Good luck! : )

Bump – I’m in the same boat, does anyone know the answer without a doubt??

On the application instructions it says: “Your official test scores must arrive at Stanford by the appropriate application deadline.” :(

Their web site spells this out pretty clearly - and I think it says that the latest you can take SAT/tests, etc for the admissions process is early October, presumably so that they can get the scores BEFORE the January 1 application deadline.

From Stanford’s website:

The last acceptable testing date for REGULAR decision is December (^^October is for Early Action). So I’m sure you are fine! I’m in the same boat, don’t fret about it.

Don’t worry, they’ll get it on time, just send it in as fast as possible. I sent mine a week ago, but lovely collegeboard still said its pending, so I just have to play the waiting game…after finishing and submitting my application of course :)
