received 1 D - am i I doomed? Cal Poly, Case, Carnegie

I'm a junior with outstanding everything but grades. My GPA/ class ranking is low and I've taken pretty much the toughest classes available each year at my school. I'm an A/B student but last year I received a D plus in algebra2/trig honors - GPA plummeted.

best ECs: life long Girl Scout, editor in chief newspaper, Presidential Award for volunteering (about 300 hours so far)

schools: Cal Poly Pomona, Case Western, Carnegie Mellon, U Washington

try to retake your trig course, because I don't think colleges accept Ds
plus you're still a junior, so you still have time to do it

Cal State schools will require that you have a C or better for any class used to fulfill your A-G courses, so it maybe necessary to repeat it for those applications.

You're allowed to retake the course and that will REPLACE the grade.

seriously? I have to retake it - even if it's a D in just one semester and it's honors?
Oh goodness.

How do I do that...because it's algebra 2 and trig. I've already moved on to pre-cal honors.
