I got a phone call yesterday from a UCLA alumni to apply for the Alumni scholarship.
I wasn't able to answer the phone, so she left a message.

It seems like a lot of people got an email, but I checked and I didn't get one.

Why is that?
Is there any difference between a phone call and an email?
I thought about it, and I wondered how the alumni association could call every applicant.

It doesn't matter. When you become a alumni scholarship recipient you have a community service requirement, and calling people is just one of those jobs you could do to fulfill it.

If an applicant gets this phone call, does that mean they can be pretty sure of being admitted to UCLA? I know that's true for the Regents. Is it true for the Alumni scholarship?
