Hi all,
I applied to the Kelley School of Business for economics/public policy for direct admit and was admitted a few months ago. I’ve intermittently received a bunch of offers from the school that are making me seriously consider the school. I was accepted into the Hutton Honors College, received the Dean’s Scholarship for 11k/year, offered me to apply for more under their “SSA,” and invited to their ACE video interview.
I just have a couple questions regarding the admissions process and the job/internship opportunities Kelley students have.
- I have a 3.73 UW/1570 SAT, yet I still received an offer to apply for the ACE Program via email. When I did some more research on the website, they stated that typically only students with a 1500+ and 3.9+ UW GPA are admitted. Does this mean I have no chance, even I was invited to apply?
- I was initially set on grinding to the Investment Banking Workshop for a job as a banker, but the consulting world just seems more appealing to me. Does Kelley have a robust network and opportunities for an undergraduate to land a job at a well-known firm with good consulting, such as the MBB or the Big 4?
- Lastly, how do Kelley undergraduates fare in their MBA school placings? I know business schools typically look at work experience/test scores more than the undergrad school, but I still see 50% of admits into T5 business schools coming from Ivy Leagues, etc. Thanks in advance!
