there was food at the tampa one.. cookies

Was there an opportunity to meet people? Also, how diverse were the people at the receptions? I missed the one for my town, I had to pitch for my baseball team.

Went with my D last night to L.I. you didn't really have a chance to meet people, but the recent grad running it had everyone stand, introduce themselves, tell what they expected to major in and any extracurriculars or Greek they were interested in. We were pretty surprised at the diversity and range of interests, though no racial diversity: blacks or hispanics. It was a well run program with a 20 min film, 15 minutes talk and 15 minutes for questions about dorms, saftey life etc. You could stay on after to ask specific or personal questions.

I went to the one in boston on sunday evening. There was a 20 min movie with students who go to the school then the admissions man spoke for 10 minutes and a teacher from the engineering school spoke for 15 minutes. Then we could ask either of them any questions about the school. They didnt have any food or anything so that was kind of lame, and there were a lot of people there as well. I only really met the kids sitting at my table. It was still good to go to, though.
