Superman is flying high tonight. So glad he is recognized. He was rattling in the car no more squaring, or saluting can sleep in between classes and can sleep until 6:30 a.m. Can let his hair grow. Maybe some of the moaning and complaining will subside a little. Boy have they come a long way. Since I'm new to this military stuff, I don't get all these traditions, like rolling in the mud. But it must all be good since everyone seems happy. Congratulations 2011!

Wait until he goes from a Pollywog to a Shellback :)

Received e-mail from my "MIDSHIPMAN" and he said "Today is one of the Greatest days of my Life." A Good Friday he will always remember.

Thanks for the great pictures, WYTL. And many thanks to is2day for encouragement & tough love support & ESPECIALLY to KPMOM for her unrelenting prayers & c-c-cookies!!!!

WoW!! They've made it this far....More to go...No turning back~

CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2011!!!!

Suzannegra, how do you get the inside info? Is it because you are 3 hours ahead of us Californians? (If I made typos i'ts because of the tears of Pride & Joy!!)

Well don't leave me hanging suzannegra - What is a pollywog and shellback? I think my son is out burning his Bearings Book tonight.

if you've never crossed the equator on a ship you are a pollywog, cross it and you become a shell back (with a little hazing ceremony thrown in).

PJmom... MY midshipman wrote... ummm. ummm. Dang it. MY midshipman doesn't write! (Still stuck with the two-word response from an email a long time ago "Size 11").

SO GLAD you shared your happy news. I'm just imagining mine feels the same.

LOL PJMom.....I have my sources :) Actually I've grown up in the Navy...My dad is retired Navy, my older son is active duty for 12 years, and of course my baby is at KP....it's amazing the things you learn by listening and asking stupid questions :D
