Recommend a book for an ACT Newbie

I'll be taking the ACT for the first time and am wondering which prep book is best. My uncle (who is a guidance counselor) recommended Kaplan's SAT book when I took that and I really liked it. Is their ACT book good? Or is there an even better book?

Also, math will be my weakness on the test, so what is a good math prep book?

I found Princeton Review’s Cracking the ACT to be helpful. I would also recommend The Real ACT Guide (The Red Book) for its five official ACT practice tests.

The Real ACT Guide (The Red Book) is the Bible of the ACT. You should definitely get it. Barrons ACT 36 is pretty good IMHO.
