<p>Several people at my school say that for recommendation letters, one should be from a Math/Science teacher while the other should come from an English/History teacher. </p>
<p>However, I wanted to get my recommendations from a Math and a Chemistry teacher and not from any of the English/History teachers. Would this be OK?</p>

<p>They probably say that because some schools request that. However, there are some schools that don’t request it, so it should have no effect on your admissions decision for those schools.</p>
<p>Make sure you find out what the requirements are for your target schools. Some colleges specifically say that one should come from Math/Science while the other should come from English/SocialScience/etc.</p>
