Recommendation Letters Question

Last year in junior year, I really got to know my APUSH and AP Lang/Comp teachers. I was gonna ask them for recommendation letters since I think they would write me the best ones, but is it also required to ask for one from History/English and Math/Science?

I can also ask my math teacher, but I don't think she would write me a better one than my English or History teacher.

So is it okay if they are both from the humanities? Or would it be better to ask one from my math teacher and one of the other two?

The colleges I'm applying to are mainly the ivys, UC's, NYU, and USC. I'm looking to major in business.

Thank you!

Some schools (like MIT, I’m pretty sure) require you to have a recommendation from 2 different areas of study. You should check the requirements for each of your schools to see if it matters or not. I know that I got into NYU with only one recommendation (lol) but I have no clue about the others.

Like the above poster said, MIT requires a math/science and a humanities. But MOST, as in a huge majority, will not care which 2 you choose. And some even require only 1. Just send the history/english combination, and if you are applying to a place that requires something else, do so
