I know some universities require recommendation letter from teachers(well...maybe all of them), but how am I going to submit it?
I mean, do I send it directly to university by mail (or scan it and send by email whatever), or do I have to go through my high school (ask my teacher to send it)?
Sorry, i know this is a stupid question, but i don't have an elder bro/sis, so I have no idea how to apply...Thanks:)

i have the same exact question! Also, do all colleges require it and if so…which ones do i send it to…i cant send like 6-7 teacher recommendations.

The basic requirement for most colleges and the common application is that you upload one recommendation from an adviser and two recommendations from two different teachers. As far as uploading the documents, I’ve been told that your adviser/teacher has to upload the recommendation letters to the Common Application website.

If you are using the Common App, you give the email address of the teachers from whom you have requested letters of recommendation. They will upload to the site. If you have waived your right to read the letters when you started your Common App, you will not be able to read them. However, you do get to choose which letter(s) you send to which college. As per another thread:
For example, you ask Ms. Smith, Mr. Wayne and Mr. Jones for recommendations and they file them online with the Common App. When you go to submit your application to Xavier University, which only wants 1 rec from a teacher, you choose which to submit. You could submit Mr. Wayne to Xavier, Mr. Jones to Slippery Rock, and Ms. Smith and Mr. Jones to Podunk U.

If a school does not accept the Common App, or it is optional and you are not using it, the school will indicate its process (e.g. it has a form that is filled out and mailed by the teacher, or…)

Who you ask is related to 1) who knows you best as a student and 2) will give you a good/the best possible recommendation.
