I am applying to St. John's University, which uses its own separate online application. There is no information on how to submit a recommendation on the application. Should I have my teacher do a paper recommendation and send it to the admissions office? I am using their online application, but I have not submitted it yet because I am waiting to hear back about NHRP. Is there usually a way to upload recommendations after you submit your application for schools that don't use the common app? Or should I just go ahead and ask my teacher to submit the letter through the mail?

You should call the admissions office at St. John’s and ask them specifically. This is an important part of your application and you want to make sure you are doing it correctly. The admissions office should be happy to explain it to you!

Some schools like UIUC don’t even want recommendation. You should contact the admission office to find out.
