Spanish Teacher that i’ve had 9th,11th,12th AP – also the moderator of the Portuguese Club (where i am president) i’ve had a A Average all throughout my time with her and she wrote a great letter for me
English Teacher that i had freshman year – had a A throughout her class, despite only having her freshman year she was my favorite teacher and was always fond of me, she still recommends me to any of my teachers
Biology/ Anatomy Teacher Freshman and Junior year – Bio i had a B+ and Anatomy i had a B, she was a challenging teacher and but she was always fond of me and said i was respectful and a good edition to her class
NOW someone help me what order should i put these when sending it to colleges – from best to worse
Spanish: Lead strong with a letter you know is good, from a recent teacher.
Bio: Another recent teacher, with a letter that will show your character and ability to cope with challenge.
English: Finish with a teacher who will be very positive about you. The first two letters from recent teachers will balance the fact that this is from a freshman teacher.
Just the feeling I get from your descriptions. I know this isn’t helpful to add, but to some degree you will know better than anyone else
the only thing that troubles me about Bio/Anatomy is the fact that i got a B in Anatomy – my lowest grade all throughout highschool, but she did like me and never had any issues with me, so maybe that will even out my grade? @metalinguist
I would not recommend using the letter from your Freshman year English teacher, most schools want a letter from a Junior/Senior year teacher. Also, most schools only want 1 or 2 teacher rec letters-- just because they allow you tossed more doesn’t mean you should unless the 3rd letter is really really good and reveals something that the other letters don’t. Good luck!
@CDOESenior2k16 i wasnt going to send in 3, just wanted to see which top two i should consider – but thanks for the comment thats what i was thinking !
I would go with the Spanish and Bio teacher. The bio teacher’s letter would be likely be well received if he/she can talk about how you persevered, keep involved as a student through classes that were challenging to you. I would not use a freshman year teacher.
PS no need to use all caps in the future – it is like shouting!
