Teacher recommendations dilemma!

So far, I have pretty much set which teachers I want to write my recommendation letters. I have had my English teacher for two years, and I know he will be able to write an awesome letter. My freshman English teacher is also my swim coach, and has coached me for three years in varsity swimming. I know she could write an awesome letter as well because she recognizes how well I worked in class and how much energy I put into the team-both of which are great skills to talk about, I believe. I planned to have her again as an English teacher this upcoming year but my schedule did not work out, however I know that she knows me very well. Nevertheless, I recognize that colleges often do not like recommendations from teachers you had as an incoming freshman, but I still feel that she knows me well academically and personally. I could also ask my Spanish teacher for a letter since I had her for two years as well. Which should I opt for, my freshman English teacher/ coach, or my Spanish teacher?

Thanks.

i wouldn’t get recommendations from two teachers from the same subject area (you can have one from and english teacher and then one from another subject… maybe from science or math?) i would pick which english teacher you want to get it from and just choose one of them… and then either go with your spanish teacher or a teacher from another subject… it doesn’t have to be someone you’ve had multiple years… someone from just junior year is fine.
