Recommendations and the Common App. - questions

<p>Two questions please:</p>

<ol>
<li><p>If you are getting recommendations from employers, pastors, etc....do you also list their names on the Common Application recommendation section along with the teachers? (They are going to be writing letters, not using the Common App. form.)</p></li>
<li><p>If the policy at your school is for teachers to write separate recommendation letters rather than using the Common App. form, do you still fill in their e-mail addresses? Or will this confuse things (Common App. program waiting for them to fill out something on line, for instance).</p></li>

<li>Supplemental LORs don’t go through the CA. IMO only 1 supplemental should be sent with your application. If you have more hold them for later if you’re deferred or on a WL.</li>
</ol>

<p>Check the specific requirements of the colleges you will be applying to as well. My son is applying to one college that wants no more than one recommendation and it must be sent with the guidance office materials.</p>
