I was searching the application, and i didnt see anything about recs or sending a transcript. Could somebody tell me if berkeley doesnt need these or they assume that applicants should send them?
especially with the transcript, b/c im assuming that grades are important to admissions.
Thanks

UCs don't take recs. Don't bother sending them because they won't be looked at. Transcripts are sent after you get accepted to verify the grades you SELF-REPORTED on the application.

Is there anything that a guidance counselor needs to fill out?

No unless you are one of the very few approached later by Cal to complete a supplemental application. That will ask for one reference which could be guidance counselor or teacher. For most people, nothing is needed from the counselor.

heyy. Should SAT scores be sent to Cal or should i sent them when they ask for them?

I don't think they will ask for them, just send them when you have them and they will keep the record of your scores. self report them on the application.

If you haven't had them reported before, you will see the missing SAT scores among the checklist of items that an accepted applicant has to complete between when Cal gives you the nod and when you begin classes.

They don't look at all until after they select and inform applicants and then when those applicants in turn pick Cal by submitting their SIR (statement of intent to register). They only have to process the transcripts and SAT scores of the incoming student body, not the tens of thousands that apply.

If you had not already submitted them by listing Cal on the SAT forms, you have the chance to do so up until a deadline that will be communicated to you as part of your checklist.
