<p>For the common application, do the 2 teacher recommendations have to be from academic teachers? Could the recs be from other types of teachers, such as a counselor from an after school program?

<p>it also depends on the school some require a 11 and 12 grade teacher and some require specific subject teachers to write it...so read the individual application instructions</p>
<p>if you submit the common app you must go by their rules and not the rules of the individual colleges instructions...offcourse its not really my place to be telling anyone what to do...i would talk to a gc if i were u</p>
