What is the deadline for the recommendations? January 15th?

Yes. However, I do not believe offices penalize for slightly late forms. It depends.

One school I spoke to said that while the official deadline for REC is Jan 15, they are aware that teachers are so busy with RECs. So the school said it was ok to recieve it by, say, the end of Jan. I don’t know if this is true to all but at least they must have some flexibility. I am saying this because another school said to check back in with them by this weekend if the REC is received. It implies that it could be all right for a little late arrival. But again, I cannot guarantee. Other than the RECs MUST be arrived by Jan 15 and it includes the school transripts though.

Most offices will give a little time break on those items that are out of your direct control. That said, it would be good to explain to the recommenders, if you have not previously made it clear (or even if you have), that in order for the recommendation to be helpful, it also needs to be in ASAP…

As politely as possible, of course. The recommender is doing you a favor.
