I'm pretty sure it's correct to say "try to-" as opposed to "try and-."

"And" connects two clauses to form one sentence. If you say, "I'm going to try and wake my brother up," you're essentially saying you're going to try, and you're going to wake your brother up. So I'm pretty sure that "try to-" is correct.

I don't pay much attention to when I type incorrectly, and I have probably made every single one of those errors at some time along the way. Come on people, loosen up

haha, i'm very un-anal (just look at the floor of my room) but for god's sake, when pop culture in all it's incarnations prompts you to spell "ludacris" on your english paper, something is very, very wrong. i indulge shamelessly in forum/IM junk like any other technology slave-monkey these days but cannot stand when regular, everyday words are distorted into "influencial," "definately," and the others mentioned here, because they have influence on your brain- oh do they have influence. and yes, i know that was a horribly constructed sentence. happy spelling!

unless i'm doing something formal, as long as it's not completely wack, i could care less about the occaisonally (is that even spelled right?) mispelled word
