Reed EA 2022

Congratulations to everyone who got in!

Waitlisted! Pretty cool, considering Reed is a pretty big reach for me.

Have any of the accepted EA students received their financial aid package yet?

Accepted last night! My last name starts with S so it doesn’t seem like they’re following alphabetical order.

I still haven’t gotten any email :’( I’m so anxious!! @avocadosam Are you international, or in the US?

@GeometryBoy The email didn’t mention anything about financial aid.

@slimegrl I’m in the US. I hope you hear soon!

@avocadosam Oh, alright! Did you hear today?? And thanks, I’ve been checking my email constantly haha

So many qualified people getting denied/waitlisted! I was waitlisted :frowning: and I got into Northwestern.

I got in! The email arrived for me at 7:22 PST. Congratulations to everyone! You all worked really hard, and, regardless of your decision, will do amazing things next year!!!

@slimegrl I got my rejection email last night (Feb 9) at 9:26pm CST (7:29pm Reed time/PST)

DD accepted but no mention of aid.

I still haven’t gotten an email or package, and I am in the US, and my mailing address is in California which only takes two days to a week to ship from Oregon. Have they only emailed decisions to students who applied for financial aid or did they forget my application?

@sinskeyal I haven’t gotten an email or any kind of notification either, and i’m in NJ. Maybe it does have to do with aid?? I didn’t apply for it either. I honestly have no idea at this point, but I’m planning on calling admissions tomorrow to see what the heck is going on.

@sinskeyal and @slimegrl just for your reference, I don’t think it has to do with aid because I received my decision via email on Friday and also did not apply for it. I am also a U.S. applicant. Best of luck to you both and I hope you get your decisions soon!

@therebetterbdogs Oh, interesting! thanks for letting us know. this just gets more confusing by the minute haha

Son’s acceptance came by Email two days ago- got thrown in the Gmail ads/promotions folder!

D didn’t apply for aid either and heard via email Friday. Suggest u check spam folder.

D’s friend rejected. surprising. Not only a high achiever in every way, in line with others accepted, but also an unaccompanied youth and first gen. Not impressed with Reed’s decision making, nor their ability to clearly communicate expectations to everyone about decisions. Meanwhile my daughter just received an expensive Reed marketing book (she is a junior).

When my daughter applied EA to one of her schools (I don’t remember which one), she somehow missed the box where you choose EA over RD. We were lucky enough to catch it in time and notify the school and point out that everything was submitted by the EA deadline. So, you may want to check your application and see if you missed that box.
