Reg Decision - reviewing just Q1 grades or whole semester?

So… 1st quarter senior year grades just closed for daughter. She did great with 4 AP classes but so very stressful. Just wondering if regular decision schools will look at grades for the whole semester or just first quarter grades? Her high school semester ends Jan 22 and I imagine will take the high school 2 weeks to send the grades out. They automatically send to all the colleges. Any thoughts if these colleges are waiting for the 1st semester grades to come out to be reviewed before making decisions? Thanks for any input! : )

Regular Decision schools (UCs are a notable exception) will usually look at 1st semester grades, which will be submitted by your counselor as a part of their “midyear report” in the Common App.

Thanks, @PikachuRocks15 ! Guess daughter has to keep the grades up!

Yep! Same goes even after decisions released----student can and have gotten their acceptances revoked, though this is rarely done for anything but the most serious situations (multiple failing grades, profanity or hate comments on social media etc.)
