<p>I can’t say for sure, because I don’t know the directions, college, etc., but I can say that would probably be fine as long as the word “requirement” or “minimum” doesn’t come about. If it just says “suggests”, and you really feel like your 12 works of art are strong enough to compare to an average applicant’s 20+ pieces of work, then go right ahead
I’m sure it won’t make a <em>huge</em> difference in the case of just “suggestion”, but if you had a few extra works you were on the fence about, you might want to consider adding them into your portfolio.</p>
