Regarding teacher recommendations?

<p>Hello, I'm a junior who is still new to the common app system.
I've noticed that most colleges require two recommendations from your teachers.
Do these teachers necessarily need to be the ones who will teach you in your senior year? Can recommendations also be from teachers who had taught me in my previous years? </p>

<p>Yup recommendations can be made from any teacher who taught you from 9-12th grade it’s preferable though that you choose someone who knows you well.</p>
