Hello, I live in the NYC area. I applied to both NYU Stern and Georgetown as a transfer student. I was wondering which university would be better to attend. I may have to make this decision in about month, so I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

NYU Stern... (u will get TAP as well)

Thanks m.kenien , to be honest I don't really mind paying the tuition, but I want to be at an institution where I can actually learn. Therefore I am only considering the quality of education when making this decision, not how much I have to pay. I understand NYU has an amazing finance department, which is good since I was interested in majoring in finance and International Business. However, I also understand that georgetown also has a decent program as well. Therefore, I am still at a crossroads.

Both are great programs, I say go to the one who gives your a better deal, and not it terms of just fin aid, but the total amount you will spend for that education, whichever gives you more for your buck go for it.

CCG ... are u kidding me... Georgetown business programme is ridiculous!

Check every ranking!

Ok I will reword that for you kenien lol..... NYU has, in many rankings, a better business program than georgetown, however I do not think georgetowns program is ridicoulous by any means, they still rank in the top 20 in Business Week (granted NYU is 9th on the same list). However I still think he should go to the one who gives him the best deal.

I see, thank you CCG and m. kenien . I still want to know if there are any others with opinion on the differences between the quality of education, and the campus.

Once again, I am not concerned about the money or the financial aid. If I have to pay the full tuition off at a later point, then I have to pay it. As long as I do well at the institution, and keep up my grades I can graduate and get a nice job that can help me pay it off. I have a lot of ambition and I believe I have a good work ethic. As a result, tuition is of the least concern to me.

The only thing of concern is which provides a better education.

wait to get in, then decide. trust me, i know how you feel, i applied to several schools, but all we can do is wait til we have the full picture

he doesn't care about money, he's been pretty clear about this. though personally, if your parents aren't paying for it, i wouldn't blow off grants because of self-confidence, i'd take my confidence to the school that gave me money

thank you all for your advice. I appreciate it very much. What is your opinion in terms of their majors in finance, international business, and class sizes?

^ bump....

^ bump ^ bump
