Regents interview this weekend...

A tux? If i was an interviewer, I would have died laughing.

@Archlion

My interview was exactly 30 minutes. I actually met the professor before my interview since he visited my table. We went overtime a bit, but I think they aim for at least 30 minutes for the interview.

Wait, table? Are we supposed to go there for something before our interview time? Mine is at 1 pm on Saturday and I live quite a long drive away–I was planning to get there a little bit early, at around noon, so I would have time to find parking and could make sure that I’m at the right building at the right time. Is that early enough? I’m very confused, I thought that this was solely an interview! Would you mind sharing an overview/schedule of what is going to happen @Defeat ? What time should I get there?

I just got an email letting me know I have to be there an hour before my interview. My interview is tomorrow afternoon.

@GingerTea12

It might be different because I interviewed in a hotel at San Diego. You should arrive 1 hour before your interview and its solely an interview if you make it out to be. During your 1 hour wait, you can talk to other regent scholars and sit with other candidates to have a little chat. I recommend you do this since I had a lot of questions answered there.

Attended the Cal ROHP and it was great even with the lousy weather. I also had my interview and it lasted approximately 30 minutes. The dress code was laid back - no tux. :smiley: The professor focused on my essays and technical knowledge. Overall it was worth it!

Thanks @Defeat ! It helped to know a bit more about what to expect, and I felt like my interview went well today…
:slight_smile: Fingers crossed!

Anyone who was interviewed for Regents got any results today? Will it be on portal?

@LivinProof: “The scholarship is $2500/yr but also comes with a guarantee to meet full need, so for us the scholarship put Cal on par with all those wealthy no merit/full need schools back east. They did meet our full need.”

Is that so? Oh, man…

Yes, my son got Regents which shows in financial aid package, UCB will offer you scholarship to cover your financial need 100%.
