I am just curious, which is more prestigious between the two scholarships: Regent's Scholarship or Chancellor's Scholarship? I have been able to find a lot of information on the Regents Scholarship, but I am having difficulty finding anything about the Chancellor's Scholarship. The one thing I did find about it (in a 2005 article of some kind) is that it gives 2000/year.

at the end of the day, no one is gonna care about which one you have. your employers are not gonna care about whether you got one scholarship or another. take the one that gives the most money. also i dont necessarily think you have a choice. you dont apply for them, they are given to you if you meet the crtieria…

I got the Regents Scholarship already, I was just curious because I have heard many people argue over this.

I believe Regents is the most prestigious UC scholarship because it is completely merit-based. Chancellors is partly need-based but merit is taken into account. Therefore, an amazing applicant with great test scores and tons of awards can’t get Chancellor’s unless they are somehow disadvantaged. However, people that get Regents but also qualify for financial aid get a much larger scholarship than those that don’t.
