<p>Who got into the Regents Scholars program here. I was wondering, especially since we were kind of hoping for it over here (a vain hope it appears)</p>

<p>I was informed the student is told whether they were in or not when they were accepted</p>
<p>Yup - I was accepted regents and there was a link on my status page that told me more about the scholarship. The MyAwards page also lists the amount of money I would receive from being a regents scholar.</p>

<p>mikej11: They look at your application and give it to you based on merit. It means you were one of the top applicants.</p>
<p>do we have to check the official status page? or did they email it. I forgot my password since it was so freaking weird.</p>
<p>I was wishing too (perhaps just as vainly) =P Though it says nothing on my admittance front page (so I doubt I received it), my "Financial Aid and Scholarships (MyAwards)" gives me a weird this message though:</p>
<p>Your award information is not yet available for viewing or "Accepting" online. When your financial aid package is complete</p>

<p>I wonder if the acceptance letter states you are admitted as Regents Scholar or you find out about that when you go to Financial Aid & Scholarship page.

<p>They MyAdmissions "Congratulations" page, paper admittance package you will receive later this month and the MyAwards page will all indicate if you were admitted as a Regents Scholar.</p>
<p>IMHO, UCD is not doing a very good job in informing Regents Scholarship receipients. You would think right after "Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to the University of California, Davis for Fall Quarter 2009 in the XYZ major." that they would put something like "We are also pleased to award you the Regents Scholarship..."
Instead, you have to deduce from the presence of a hypertext link "Regents Scholarship Information and Events" under the Upcoming Events section. This assumes you somehow know that non-Regents applicants don't have that link.</p>

<p>I did not have a link on my acceptance nor my financial aid package page, but I did get a UCDavis scholarship for $9700ish. Does that mean that I am a Regent's scholar? Because if so, I was never notified.</p>
