Okay, so right now, I'm pretty ecstatic but a little confused. I got in last week for Cal Engineering, did not receive a Regents notification--I didn't even get selected for an interview. Today, I checked my email and apparently I got the scholarship (note, I'm an incoming freshman, not a transfer). I first thought this was a hoax, but I checked my Berkeley financial aid and its all there. I'm just wondering how this is possible, seeing as it's been over a week since decisions came out and I wasn't even a candidate in the first place (not that I'm complaining or anything :P). Thoughts? Or should I just smile and say thank you :D

i think they only interview people in-state (thats just what it seemed when i interviewed). Also, my friend got it without interviewing since he is a permanent resident and not a citizen; perhaps, that is an exception to the in-state thingy. Do either of those apply to you?

Nope I’m in-state and a citizen. I haven’t gotten anything regarding this scholarship before I received it yesterday.

Dunno then, congrats.

Same here I’m still in disbelief I had accepted the fact that I didn’t get it. Really strange but I hope it’s legit.
