I received regents for SD. I talked to a few of my friends that went to scholars' day with me, and some of them didn't get it. Have you guys gotten regents without an invitation to scholars' day, or vice versa?

Also, I'm not ELC, so there is hope yet for non-ELCs.

I know of someone who did not get Scholars’ day but did get Regents and vice versa. I believe Scholars’ day is like the top ___ number of students in that college while Regents is the top ___ number of applicants total. In schools such as Jacobs for Engineering, there tends to be much more qualified applicants so only a certain number of those students are invited for scholars’ day but they may still be eligible for Regents because they are in the top for the entire UCSD.

Something is amiss becasue Scholars’ day is top 4% and Regents is top 1%. Maybe Regents is not solely based on the normal points total but includes things like quality of essay, number of AP classes, AP scores, quality of ECs etc.
