Regents!

If you got regents at UCR, can you guys post your stats? That would be really helpful. thank you, and congrats! :)

The reason was that I totally thought I'd get regents with a 4.1 UCGPA. I got $5000 for the "Chancellor's Scholarship" instead. Haha i guess I shouldn't really be complaining at all, I'm pretty lucky.

But I'm still curious to see what UCR wants in its regents.

I got the Chancellors, but not the regents.
4.3 GPA, only 2100 SAT, but loads of sports and stuff.

My friend got the Regents with a whopping 4.51 GPA, not many ECs, and 34 ACT… maybe they go by stats…

Regents; $5K/year

GPA: 4.3
ACT: 33
SATII: mathII: 700, chem: 710
EC’s include volunteering every weekend, making own clubs, running food drives, etc.

Interesting how Chancellors gets the same amount as Regents…?

Clarification on GPA: 4.3weighted; 3.95 unweighted

Low-income family
Good ECs/ volunteer experience
Total Weighted GPA- 4.31
Total Unweighted GPA- 3.86
UC Weighted GPA- 4.25
UC Unweighted GPA- 3.81
SAT: 1870
SAT IIs: 630 and 600
(I never was a good test taker.)
4 APs taken total and passed
Currently taking 7 APs

I received Chancellors scholarship. What’s the difference between the it and the Regents scholarship since they are both worth $5,000. I believe Regents Scholarship is renewable for all 4 years, while Chancellors is not. Can someone verify this please? Have these scholarships always been this amount? I hate to sound ungrateful, but $5,000 is not that much if you consider the total expenses you have to pay to attend. Or have these scholarships decreased given the current budget cuts of the UC system?

thanks everyone.

the power of one – i think you’re right.
regents is all four years, and chancellors is the first year.
I think they totally just go by stats which is just your SAT/SAT II/UC GPA to determine which one you get.

I think the scholarship amount shockingly went up. in 2008 it was only 4.5k not 5k

The Regents I received was for all 4 years, so I guess you could say its $20K total if I kept my GPA a 3.0

Chancellor’s

3.0 GPA unweighted, 2260 SAT

btw, they don’t look at AP testing in admissions

How do you know if you got it?

Receive an email

I got the Chancellor’s scholarship, but my stats seem to pale in comparison to everyone else
