Registering for closed classes

I am signed up for the fall orientation so I haven't registered for classes yet. I am an engineering student and have a lot of AP credit so their is only a few classes that I really want/need to take so i don't have a lot of options. I bunch of the classes I need are completely closed. I was wondering what the chances of getting into those would be. I don't want to have to change my plans completely at orientation, but I am not even sure if I could redo the classes to take different classes (for example all but one section of ENGR 100 is closed and that section doesn't work with any other schedules and ENGR 101 is basically closed)

I don’t know what they’ll do with you at orientation, but I think if you talk to the professor of whichever 100 or 101 section you want, they’ll approve an override/tell your adviser to approve your override and you’ll get in. I don’t think they’ll leave you stranded with neither a 100 or 101 section. I know that throughout the summer they open up more seats but they may have finished opening all the seats that will be available by now.

Yeah I thought they opened up seats with each orientation group.

If not, you should still be able to get in if you just talk to the EAC or something. You should be fine.
