My d is in the process of submitting her honors registration form which should take care of part of the registration process for her. I understand the remaining classes will be selected by her during an honors advising session at CTOPS. Since we are from Texas, she is signed up for the last CTOPS session which is immediately after move-in. Will this affect her ability to get the classes she desires? I remember receiving advice regarding this...that perhaps she should attend an earlier CTOPS with instate kids? Love to hear from eadad or others with experience on this one.

(note to eadad - D was assigned to third floor, Craige North...no word on her honors roommate yet. She is very, very happy!)

Hey I've read some of your posts and I am also:

What high school does/did your d attend?

I tried sending a pm back but you have too many stored msg's so I just sent you an email. Send me a pm back. Nice to meet you!

i went to the last CTOPS last year, and got almost all of the classes i wanted. they reserve seats in the classes for each section of ctops. so really, what your student has to worry about is not which CTOPS to go to, but which order her subgroup within CTOPS signs up for classes.

of course, as a freshman, she will have picked after all the seniors, juniors, and sophomores, but would not necessarily be signing up for the same level classes.
