Registration

does anyone know when we begin registering for fall classes?

I think we register online on august 4th

I am really excited for next, year. I can't wait. Anyone else like this? What is everyone wanting to do? Clubs? Sports?

I'm excited but nervous at the same time! But yeah it will be really fun. Clubs for sure... I haven't looked at the full list yet but last time I looked there were a few that were quite intriguing! sports... I might want to start up with tennis again? intramural though... or something lower :)

I'm hella excited too and a bit nervous cuz I won't know anyone. I definitely want to join clubs and play intamural volleyball though.

I heard registration priority goes by last names, and it alternates soo people have the oppertunity to have priority during registration. I hope ROTC automatically gives me priority!

UGHHH is anyone as confused with registration as i am. it's finally out to look at and plan with

Im gonna go look now

planning to take

MSL 101
ENGL 149
MATH 141
EE 111
EE 151
Chem 124

15 units in all... I think its a good load for our first quarter

The counselors will figure it out for us correct?....I know in July I'm going up there and I am supposed to meet with i guess a counselor and show them my transcripts and the results to my AP tests and stuff. But then whats the point of the online m.calpoly.edu registration system?

Around july you go to a Summer Advising center where people teach you how to register for classes. Then around August you go online and register yourself for courses. I don't remember a counselor helping me to register. You have to learn how to do it all yourself.

oh okayyyy

i didn't know about that thing in july...? should i be concerned...?

No, I Am just going off memory. It may be in august and I may be totally wrong. I'll find out and get back to ya

im planning to take

EE 111/151
IME 156
Math 142
Engl 134
Chem 124

16 units...

Summer advising is great. It really helps you get a feel for college registration. As for those who posted schedules, try not to overload yourselves.

thats what they recommend though, at least according to the 05-07 EE flow chart

I'm only taking 15 units... Thankfully AP credit and some community classes are helping me get ahead.

i disagree with giants. i went to summer advising and it was bs...i knew most of the stuff that they "helped" me with. it's all online, u can read about it...unless u're too lazy and just waste $75 to let those "counselors" help u. those "counselors" are mostly juniors/seniors. in short, u don't need SAP to plan out your classes.
