Regret

Has anyone here ever gotten a grade they weren't happy with that could have been an A if they just put in a little more effort? I think i have a B+ in honors english, and its not bad but its known to be one of the easier classes. And the assignments aren't hard. The only thing I havent done good is the essays, because she has focus correction areas that if u dont follow you lose points on, like keep same tense, and grammar, etc. And on a vocab test, we were supposed to match corresponding letters, not write the entire word, and so even though they were all right, i got a 0/20. I know this is my fault, but it still sucks......can anyone else relate?

Yes. I've gotten 89%'s before for grades before. lalala

I hate when I study too much in one area and then be well versed in that topic but OKAY for the rest and screw up the entire test OR knowing the general concepts and not the minute details and flopping. That always sucks.

No. This is because the time I didn't spend on it was spent on far greater things, such as my personal projects, which are far more important to me than some letter that a teacher assigns me.

wooot im pretty happy i got a 91 in english not a B, but i did get an 89 in french but its okay..im still happy.

Yeah, this quarter I have high B's in both physics and math (87%, 89%, respectively), and I know that if I had worked just a little bit harder, I could have gotten an A in both. Argh.

On the plus side, I got one of the few A's in AP Govt...hooray.

ur 14 and ur taking ap government!!!

the 0/20 thing is rather dumb, and I would appeal to have that change

focusing on GRAMMAR RULES in an AP ENGLISH CLASS is nothing to complain about.

AP Art Studio - If I put a little bit of effort and didn't leave my projects until the end, I'd have an A. I got an 87. 89 in AP Art History, but I'm on the upswing. 2 A's in a row on tests. (Strangely, I'm doing less work and paying less attention, yet getting better grades on tests.)

I don't put in any effort in any class (at least no more than required minimum). Looking back, I wish I had tried Freshman and Sophomore year, because that messed up my rank/gpa. Oh well, who cares? Grades are grades, if you truly understand the subject then the grade matters not. What I really can't stand is making an A in a subject I don't really grasp completely... I feel so undeserving, like I've cheated my way to an A (although I haven't really..)

ive regretted some grades ive gotten in the past. such as very very low grades in freshmen grammar. it was a hard class taught by a tough teacher. but i think now that i should have put more effort in.

i regret skipping school, not doing my work etc in 9th and 10th grade. now it's biting me in the butt

Some of you are lucky with your school's grading system...My school is pretty much an average public school (rated around 150/350), yet our grading system is 100-93=A, 92-85=B...And the GPA system is also screwed up. What I really hate is that teachers of the same class are completely different and have different levels of leniency. It really ruins it all.
