<p>Is it easier to get into Early decision as opposed to regular? How much different is it? I want to major in ME or EE so will it help if i am ED with my stats? And can i still get loans etc? </p>

<p>If you ED, I think you are very much accepted into either ECE or ME, whichever you choose.</p>
<p>RD is a bit risky. Obviously admissions is never 100% predictable but I really can't see you getting rejected if you do Early Decision.</p>
<p>CMU is an ED whore, thats what my interview basically told me (but with numbers and statistics....)</p>
<p>Applying ED dramatically ups your chances, I know I would not at all have gottten into CMU if not for me applying ED (I was borderline...)</p>
