Regular Decision 2021

@AnArcticMonkey & @zbday11, attached is a link to Wake’s Admissions that gives some insight to the interview at Wake. Couple things to point out: Wake does view the interview as important (Wake wants applicants who shows the interest in interviewing with them and checking their website) and since all the interviews are over you should not worry about not having an interview - it is now out of your control.http://admissions.wfu.edu/visit/interviews/

More importantly, before people start hyperventilating, attached is a link to Wake’s admissions site stating you do not have to have an interview to be accepted and yes I know applicants that have been accepted to Wake and did not at Wake. http://fromtheforest.admissions.wfu.edu/2016/10/interview-availability-fall-update/

Finally, good luck to all applicants; I hope you get a black envelope from Wake. Wake is a great University and my daughter loves Wake (Parents we love it too). I will keep people posted on when the envelope are being mailed.

My son did not request an interview. He has high stats, 35 ACT, 4.0 unweighted, 8 AP’s, captain of a varsity team, NHS Officer and great recs. I am very interested to see if no interview hurt him.

I feel like essays play a major role because there are SO MANY questions we have to answer. They must really really care about them

what did you guys put for your top ten list/ other essay topics? Just curious since they were SO interesting

I wrote about the 10 birds I’d love to see before I die because birdwatching is my only talent ;_;

ohh thats interesting. I did top ten things in new places so it was like a new experience i had in a different location

I did top 10 historical figures and, as a history buff and ir fan, I probably chose people they would be intrigued by

My top ten list was my favorite smells

Does anyone know a specific date when they will send out the letters?

@jkgreen27 jw who was in that?

I did places I want to visit

@renwa Napoelon III, Mithradates the Great, etc

i am a huge liberal so my top ten list was top ten politicans who i admire and respect who have opposing views of mine

@zbday11, Last year decisions were mailed on 3-24-2016. Wake’s goal is to have the envelopes in applicants hands by 4-1. Of course the further you are from Winston- Salem the longer it takes to arrive.

Again I hope nothing but the best for all applicants. Accepted student days are April 7 and April 21. Go Deacs!

I am dancer–I did top ten songs to dance to

I really like slam poetry and wrote some of the responses about political views so my top ten was “top ten feminist slam poems.”

I did top 10 educational pickup lines. I thought it was funny.

I did top ten best feelings… it was cute but nothing special! My number one was “opening my wake forest acceptance letter” :))

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN:
On March-16-2017 a shipment label was printed by Meredith Lindel (336-758-6110) of
WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS for delivery to (MY ADDRESS).
It weighs 0.5 lbs.
I am an international student.
Does this mean anything

@AnArcticMonkey speculation is bad 99% of the time, but I’ll do it anyways. It’s probably good news, as I doubt they’d mail you a 1/2lb package otherwise!
