Regular decision notification?

Yeah they would, they have a second letter along with the acceptance one.

I emailed the school Friday to arrange a visit for my son, and also asked if they could look at his file to see if he had a shot at getting in before both the school and we invested the time a visit requires.

My son got an email back that day from admissions saying that he had been accepted. No mail packet has been received yet, but his RIT Portal has been updated with his status.

By the way, he was accepted into the enigneering technology department. ACT: 24, GPA 89, class rank - 12 of 58.

It generally comes later … As mentioned on this thread the person in Italy got theirs - no doubt because so much more is involved in them deciding whether its worthwhile to attend the accepted students day. I remember when we did there was a comparatively small group who had received their scholarship information by that day… Ours was in the mailbox when we returned home from that weekend.

FWIW, my son got accepted in mid-Feb for Computer Science

Still haven’t heard about ChemE.

We are still waiting to hear from RIT.

This is one of those schools that we applied to without visiting yet. Great match for my son, but further from home than the other schools.

He just heard from RPI… wondering when we can expect to hear from RIT? We will visit if he gets accepted.

Waiting for ChemE too.
RIT’s website said that they’ll mail letters by March 15 for regular admission.
Just four more days!

If you call admissions, they will probably tell you if you’ve been accepted. The letter came a week after an email to admissions asking for an update told my son he got in (no aid information as yet)

We have not heard yet either.

Acceptance in Ky to ChemE received March 11.

Female
ACT 32
GPA 3.3/4.0

Good luck to the rest!

I just got an email inviting me for chats as an accepted student…so you guys should get it too if you were accepted…I think (again, Italy here so no clue how this works in the US). Good luck everybody!

Just so you know, if you have a portal for RIT admissions, you might find your acceptance there before receiving a letter via snail mail. This is how my D found out she was accepted ED.

For those of you that heard about your acceptance thru your portal, where does it show up in the portal? When looking at the screen, on the left side is the “Complete checklist items” and all the boxes have green checks in them. Does that disappear and the acceptance info is in its place? If not, where else? Thanks.

Today is the deadline and we still haven’t heard. Rather frustrating!!!

Under “Your Next Steps” it reads:

Admission Decision Information
Congratulations! You have been admitted to the … program for 2013 Fall.

Thanks. 10char

Momofdesignkid-Thanks. just looked at my DS’s portal and it still says “Apply Undergraduate Admission”, etc so nothing there yet. Hopefully some thing will come in the mail in the next couple of days since the deadline was yesterday.

Good luck! Hope it comes in soon! I know the waiting is so nerve-wracking!

Son applied for engineering and did not get his yet. He has verty good SAT and GPA etc so he would be likely to get in. The portal says “If you have not received you notification contact admissions”.

I received my Rochester RD acceptance on 18th February and got my scholarship notification yesterday. I don’t know if they go by major or not, but if they do, then engineering got theirs already.

Well, today we got the big envelope from RIT. A bit of a let down though when upon opening it we discovered that my DS was admitted into his 3rd choice major. That takes RIT out of the mix for us.
