how much money did out of states get?

hey guys. I am an ED admit from Maryland and I got a big packet today in the mail with everything that usually comes with an RD admit packet, since ED admit letters are pretty much just one sheet. anyway, I am sure that if I got that then yours are all coming today/tomorrow. GOOD LUCK!

rejected ...

sohrab: are you out-of-state?

Reccomendations: I don't know I have a reputation of being an arrogant ass

Overall I am a bit dissapointed, but I am taking it better than I have thought, considering it was my #1. Right now I have to decide between American University, George Mason, and Virginia Tech.

how are regular letter out? i just visited campus today and the admission officer said they are still working on decisions (unless they send in bunches). and sadly i wouldn't know if i got a letter since i'm not at home. also, in the admission office, the lady did say that regular letters should be sent before apr. 1. good luck all :) if you have any questions about campus (i just visited today) just ask. i'll try my best to answer them (the info session wasn't as informative as i thought it would be--geared greatly towards juniors...)

Smile, are you in-state?

Her location says Hawaii, so I'm guessing yes.

Rejected, in-state. No big deal.

rejected, in-state, too. I'm kinda glad considering I liked Tech and Maryland campuses 1000x better.

at least my dad will shut up about this school now haha

Oh jeez - still nothing.

I just got an email inviting me to apply for a "Pre-Collegiate Summer Program in Science & Mathematics," though...is this a good sign or do they just send it to everybody and I'm reading too much into it? :

i did that pre-collegiate summer program in science and mathematics last summer- it's for rising juniors and seniors though, so i guess you received it by mistake.

I just received that letter about the Pre-Collegiate Summer Program in Science & Mathematics and I'm also an applicant to W and M as a freshman next year. Does anyone know if this letter means anything concerning admissions?

Thanks

dropofwater, sorries took so long to respond. i'm not in-state (from hawaii). i was visiting wm & mary so wasn't home.

I also got the e-mail about the Pre-Collegiate Summer Program in Science & Mathematics and am still waiting on a decision letter. It said if I did it, I would be joining 59 others, so I'm guessing it's pretty selective and not sent to everybody? I don't know... anyone have any idea?

I guess everyone chose to ignore my previous post...

I went to that math and science program last year so I know all about it. Anyway, W&M must have put all of their applicants on their email list and the leader of the math and science program (the Chancellor Academy) must have just sent that out to everyone on W&M's email list. The program started 2 years ago and is for rising juniors and seniors so none of us rising freshman would be interested (or eligible). I'm almost positive the email doesn't mean anything at all and they just weren't very selective about who they sent it to.

Ha! I can't believe I missed the Hawaii thing under your username...W&M obviously made a mistake last November when they let me in... :p

Yeah...that's what I was starting to think after I looked the program up on their website.

Oh well, any day now I'll be getting a decision, hopefully.

I just got my acceptance letter today (Friday 25th)! I live in Virginia, and several kids in my school heard earlier in the week (Monday 21st), so maybe the "second wave" of letters has been sent out. Hope those of you still waiting hear soon.
