no, he meant the first time he took SAT was when it was on the old scoring scale, and he got a 1440. The second time he took it, it had switched to the new scale, and he got a 2100.

Alli0, I thought at first that he said he got a 1440 for just Math and Critical Reading.

Then, I thought he said that was his score out of 2400 (I'm not an idiot. I know that the SAT is not out of 2100).

THen I realized that he meant 2100 out of 2400 which would make BU a definite safety.

There's a method to my madness.

There is NO rhyme or reason to this! A classmate whos gotten into oberlin, BC, NYU Stern,Carngie mellon gets rejected from BU and Northeastern!! Go figure!

Yeah... It's really not making much sense to me...

Well, the only thing is that they may have been scared off from something. But then using this theory then other RD applicants with higer stats would be rejected as well?

hmmm.

I wonder, did the OP get into any of his/her prospective colleges?

BU is getting cocky. The admissions officers think that they're doing themselves a favor by developing "Tufts Syndrome," but seeing as BU is not an elite school, this will only harm them. They denied themselves a very good student...

Yeah, but this "very good student" would MOST likely not have ended up going there, so are they really wrong in rejecting him/her? This person obviously applied to some better schools, some of which will accept him/her. Thus, did BU really mess up in rejecting him/her?

what does op stand for lol?
