Today I received the rejection letter. My SAT's where kinda crappy (<1200) so I believe it's understandable. My EC's were good considering that in Spain (I live in Madrid) EC's are not as common as in the US, but I guess that wasn't enough for Georgetown.

Do any of you know of someone who was rejected at any university and then accepted at an Ivy??

It's always possible for someone to be rejected from a well-known school and get into an Ivy... but ur SAT scores and lack of ECs may be a hindrance... I do wish you luck though!

SO.... i have my question... i got waitlisted from duke... and still waiting to hear from HYP and all... do you think i have the slightest chance at harvard after getting waitlisted from duke?

duke is a very top of the line school.... getting waitlisted means that you are still very competitive.. not to mention that every school has a niche to fill.
