Rejected at Georgetown, any chances at Harvard?

<p>Today I received the rejection letter. My SAT's where kinda crappy (<1200) so I believe it's understandable. My EC's were good considering that in Spain (I live in Madrid) EC's are not as common as in the US, but I guess that wasn't enough for Georgetown.</p>

<p>Do any of you know of someone who was rejected at any university and then accepted at an Ivy??</p>

<p>You never know...Harvard likes niche candidates for its classes...so...still hold out hope.</p>

<p>i was rejected at georgetown but received a likely from Dartmouth... no estas vencido!!! good luck :)</p>

<p>It's always possible for someone to be rejected from a well-known school and get into an Ivy... but ur SAT scores and lack of ECs may be a hindrance... I do wish you luck though!</p>

<p>I had a friend get in to Cornell...and get rejected from TULANE....haha</p>

<p>Good luck with that low SAT score. I doubt you will get in, even without considering your rejection at Georgetown.</p>

<p>remember if u dont get in, just work ur hardest wherever u go.</p>

<p>after all u've got another shot at harvard....graduate school -_-</p>

<p>SO.... i have my question... i got waitlisted from duke... and still waiting to hear from HYP and all... do you think i have the slightest chance at harvard after getting waitlisted from duke?</p>

<p>duke is a very top of the line school.... getting waitlisted means that you are still very competitive.. not to mention that every school has a niche to fill.</p>

<p>i know a guy who got dinged from princeton and waitlisted at brown, but got into harvard and yale.</p>

<p>so the best thing to do is just wait. speculating based on what other schools thought of you is kind of useless.</p>
