ANY REASON ON EARTH WHY I WAS REJECTED???

Have an expulsion or suspension on your hs record for plagiarism, theft, destruction of school property, violence at school, drugs any other offenses that will be red flags to adcoms?

I didn’t have any warning on my hs record! I did apply to the Clark Honors College, but I assume they consider you for u of oregon if you don’t get admitted to the Honors.

Maybe your letters of recommendation or your essays didn’t match what the school is looking for (good or bad).

does anyone know for sure whether if you apply to the honors college whether you can only get into the honors college or they offer you admission to the regular college if you don’t get it!

The way it worked when my daughter applied is first you hear if you’re accepted to UO, and then later you hear whether or not you’re accepted to the honors college. The honors college decisions usually come in the spring.

Your situation sounds odd. I would call an admissions officer and ask to speak with them about the decision. Maybe it was a mistake? But you are right, on the face of it, I don’t see why you wouldn’t have been accepted to UO. The honors college can be less predictable, but you probably wouldn’t have heard from them this early anyway.

Call Admissions and ask to speak to someone about your application.

It definitely sounds like a mistake, so you should call Admissions. They’re very friendly and will give you an answer. Maybe you’re missing some of the required HS courses? Rentof2 is right. The admission process for the general university is separate from the Honors College, so that could not have been the issue.

I called admissions and they said it was a mistake and they haven’t even reviewed my application yet! They said they had no idea why I got that letter and to ignore it! Sometimes admission offices scare me!! I wonder how many other ppl this happened to! So glad I called!

Whew! Thanks for letting us know.

Thanks for the update! How weird you got this misdirected rejection letter.
