I was sort of shocked to get rejected, bc UMich accepted me EA.

I dont know why I didnt get in. Anyone else have a similar experience?
@jayman, I have some insight. CP only uses English and Math ACTs, depending on what those were, that could be part of the problem. The ACT avg for Math and sci was 30 last year, but bio was certainly higher. The big issue is GPA. It’s the biggest component of their admissions algorithm. The median admitted GPA in the Math and Sci last year was 4.08 and again, since bio is one of the most competitive, it was very likely higher. It’s hard to get in when you are well below the 50th percentile on GPA at Cal Poly because it’s such a huge factor. Ya know what I say…GO WOLVERINES! 
Thanks for the reply. My math was 33 and english was 36. My GPA weighted and unweighted was comfortably above the averages accepted to SLO from my school (Naviance)
My daughter was rejected SLO- her safety school- she was just accepted at UCDavis- close to full scholarship…pretty crazy!!
