Cal poly chances?

I’m getting really nervous and sad because I’m pretty sure I’ve been denied from cal poly. I know that they realize the acceptances first and then the denies so since I haven’t heard anything I’m starting to think I’ve been denied.
Major: biomedical engineering
CSU GPA: 4.16
Sat: 1330
AP: ap calculus, ap language and composition, ap biology, ap chemistry, ap statistics
EC: i had a seasonal job during 9-11th grade and during 12th I have a job where I work 12 hours a week
I am the president of a club called bring change to mind. I am a link crew leader and I also tutor students in AVID.

I thought this would be enough to get me in but now I’m not sure. Is it because my sat score is on the low end? Do you think I could still get in?

Did you calculate your MCA points? Around a 4700 is competitive for Engineering majors. BME is a tough admit but I believe more acceptances will be coming this week. Hang in there and you are not out of the running until you get a decision.

My score was 4650 ish and i still haven’t heard anything… does this mean I’ve probably been denied?

No one accept admissions knows if more acceptances are coming and since BME is one the of the most competitive majors, I would say the decision could go either way 50/50 at this point.

Alright thank you for all your help! I am just getting very anxious

Hi I took pretty much the same classes as you with a few differences and my scores and gpa are also similar. I applied for biomedical engineering and I haven’t heard back too. On one of the other threads I saw that someone called admissions at Cal poly and they said that acceptances will still come out in waves throughout early March. At cal poly engineering had a 23% acceptance rate. You may also get in with your alternate major. We’ll just have to wait and see. Good luck!

@11akalei11: Overall SLO Engineering may have a 23% acceptance rate but for BME the predicted acceptance rate is 13%.

Best of luck to you as wel

I applied as an electrical engineering major and I know that cal poly bases acceptance mostly on gpa and test scores, so what are my chances with a 32 composite (35 R 27 M) with a gpa of 4.37?
