I've been rejected from my dream school USC, like many of us here. Congratulations to all who go there. I don't think I'll be appealing or transferring because it's easier to just move on. I am glad USC finally gave me a decision and I'm glad to have some closure. Good luck to everybody! It's been great being on this forum, but now that the college process is over. I feel like the time has come for me to leave CC. Bye all!

Wait- tell us where you are going!

You've been a big part of this forum. Good luck to you.

Yup i'm rejected too and i probably wont be transfering in so i guess this is the final goodbye to a college that infatuated me for most of my senior year...

Although i wont be leaving this forum. i'll definately be around to help next years applicants not get tortured by the admission process like we did

its been great guys and hope u'll the best. C'ya
(cc411 - i'll be going to UIUC this fall)

My father went to UIUC then got his PhD in Engineering at MIT.
UIUC is a GREAT school.

You really will be a huge help and support to next year's applicants!

protege and aj16, I have also appreciated your posts and your spirit. When you start attending the new student events or joining Facebook groups for your new schools, you'll realize there are great kids there and a really bright future ahead.

I'm from Illinois and know many great UIUC alums. Good luck and check back with us to let us know you are thriving.

If it's any consolation, I heard in the news not long ago that research showed that kids who ended up at their second or even third choice schools were just as happy at the end of their freshman year as kids who got into their first choice. Good luck wherever you decide to go.

Thanks a lot for the consolation guys. I'm actually heading to UC-San Diego. I've joined Facebook groups and met some people. Glad the process is over and finally can get excited for university. It's a great feeling. I love you all! Gd' luck and thanks for everything. Especially you cc411. Great source of information. Always the sage around.

Best of luck at UCSD and UIUC. Both of you have an amazing college future in front of you, and I'm sure that you will succeed. Thanks for all of your great posts!

Just wanted to second the thanks to cc411. Having gone through the app process for the first time this year with S1, I cannot tell you how awesome your advice and guidance have been for us newbies.

I've also been so impressed with all the students and parents who post to the USC forums. Glad I discovered cc--although pretty late in our process after all S's apps were in. There is a wealth of information (and the occasional odd opinion or two) in these threads into which future applicants to USC can delve.

awww- thx.

The current students are the real asset here. I hope all here keep coming back to give advice and opinions to new applicants.
